Our program objectives include the following:
- Assess organization’s most critical needs pertaining to ACA, HIV, and health disparities;
- Learn how ACA will impact people served at “my organization;”
- Identify accountable healthcare service organizations and partners;
- Understand clinical HIV and “Treatment as Prevention”;
- Learn how to use data and program information to “build a case;”
- Identify an organizational practice/program/service for improvement;
- Develop a strategy for creating a new outcome in one of the following area: health care navigation, health promotion, healthcare adherence, health and wellness programming as related to ACA.

Captain John F. Moroney, MD, MPH, Regional Administrator, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Region IX, San Francisco
CAPT John F. Moroney, MD, MPH, is based in San Francisco where he serves as the Regional Administrator for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for Region IX. Dr. Moroney is a United States Public Health Services officer who has worked in the San Francisco Office of Regional Operations for HRSA since 1999. He received both his baccalaureate and medical degrees from Cornell University and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He received a Master in Public Health from Emory University while completing a second residency in preventive medicine and public health at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention after serving in the Epidemic Intelligence Service.
